GCCC Busters Basketball Hammers Tabor JV by 32 at Home-Audio
Garden City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – The Garden City Busters jumped out to an early lead Tuesday night at Perryman Athletic Complex over the Tabor JV Blue Jays from Hillsboro Kansas and never looked back, as they cruised to a 20 point lead at the half 48-28. It was more of the same in the final twenty minutes with the Busters getting eleven players in the scoring column, led by freshmen guard Chris Hall with 23 points, Ruebon King threw down 10 and post player Arkeem Joseph added 11 with 8 of those in the 2nd half, Joe Ebondo collected 11 rebounds along with 6 points to help lead the Busters to the convincing 97-65 victory. Coach Rand Chappell feels like his guys are getting better and having success at the same time as the Busters are now 3-0 on the season, with a really good test coming up on the weekend in the Garden City Community College Pepsi Classic. Six different teams will be here along with the Buster teams for 4 games each day on Friday and Saturday. The teams for the women include, Howard College and Frank Phillips from Texas and Dodge City. The men teams include, Kingdom Prep from Iowa, Seward County and North Platte Nebraska. Coach Rand Chappell comments on the win over Tabor and the exciting match-ups coming this weekend.
