Sexson Leaving As Director of Lee Richardson Zoo

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) After ten years as director Kathy Sexson is retiring from her current position and will leave Lee Richardson Zoo April 1st after thirty years. Sexson is pleased with the shape she is leaving the zoo and the many friends who back the improvements they have made through the years.

The next big fundraising effort is for a primate exhibit. Friends of the Zoo have already taken the initial steps in asking for donations. It’s expected the city will begin a nationwide search for Sexson’s replacement.
