Finney Co. Commissioners Want Voters to Decide in March
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Finney County Commission is moving forward with the timing to put a ballot initiative before the voters in March. The question on whether to keep a 1/4 penny sales tax in order to build a new juvenile services and corrections. Commissioner Roman Halbur says his opposition simply has to do with who will probably make this decision.
Halbur says if the measure fails in March they can bring it up again later or fund the building through property taxes. That an option he would rather not take.
