Power Restored

Ingalls, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Power has been restored in Ingalls, Pierceville and areas south of Garden City effected by an outage Wednesday morning. Electricity was knocked out to about 600 customers. Officials initially indicated a floater pin at one of their substations became dislodged from an extreme drop in temperature.

USD 457 school officials in Garden City had students from the darkened Plymell Elementary move to Abe Hubert School for the day. Parents of Plymell Elementary students had the option to keep their kids at home. Those students who took the school bus and remained for the day will be dropped off at their regular stops this afternoon.
