🔊 Garden City’s Ethan Fisher signs to run for Fort Hays State University
GARDEN CITY, KS – Garden City High School senior Ethan Fisher signed to run track and cross country for Fort Hays State University on Monday, January 13th.Â
Fisher’s accomplishments at GCHS:
- Four year letter winner in cross country
- Varsity track team the last four years
- Voted by his peers in cross country as:
- Most improved runner
- 2x most valuable runner
- Part of the regional cross country championship team in 2017
- Western Athletic Conference Runner of the Year in 2019 as well as WAC Champion
- During his cross country career, Ethan placed in the top 10 individually in over half the meets he ran
- In track, Ethan has represented GCHS at the KU relays and qualified and medaled at the state meet in all three of his seasons
- Is part of the 4×800 relay team that currently holds the school record
- Ethan was part of the 2018 6A state championship 4×800 relay team
