YMCA & Bad Boyz Boxing Club announce open house, free trial
The Garden City Family YMCA and Bad Boyz Boxing Club are offering a free trial of their Boxercise class to all members of the community from now through Oct. 6. Classes meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., and last approximately 50 minutes.
The public is also invited to a two-day long open house from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 2 and 3 at Bad Boyz Boxing Club, 601 Lake Ave. The open house is a chance to speak with Instructor and Club Owner Robert Gonzales, view Boxercise demonstrations, check out the gym, try out the exercises, and voice requests for additional class times.
Boxercise is a non-contact boxing class that aims to enhance cardiovascular health, improve total body strength, improve body composition, and decrease stress in its participants.
The class is open to participants of all ages, though participants under 18 must have signed parental permission. After the initial free trial class, participants may sign up for the program at the Garden City Family YMCA, 1224 Center St. Monthly class fees are $40 for members, and $80 for non-members/program participants.
