A Year of Economic Success in Kansas

Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Despite all the financial setbacks in Topeka, the state is experiencing job growth. In a report released late last week the state released their final job numbers for 2014 and Kansas overall unemployment dropped from 5.3 percent to 4.5 percent adding almost 21-thousand private sector jobs. Secretary of Labor Lana Gordon is excited by the state’s progress.

There is more good news. The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for January is 4.2 percent. A drop of three-tenths of a point.
