Worf Campaign Backs Minimum Wage Increase, Education Focus
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) He did not have any opposition during the August primary, now Zach Worf faces off against Republican John Doll for a seat in the legislature in Senate District 39. Worf continues to push his support for an increase in the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
Worf also believes more inducements should be given to increase teacher recruitment in our area.
Worf thinks the cost is secondary to helping every student receive a quality education.
One of the key decision the Kansas legislature has to make soon is whether to take the money for medicaid expansion. Critics say years down the road the federal government will force the cost back on to the state. Worf does not see it the same way.
Worf knows someone who is struggling keeping her child healthy without this type of assistance.
Worf thinks there are thousands like her who need a helping hand from medicaid expansion.
