Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-Garden City Community College and the Western Kansas Broadcast center coming to terms Tuesday on a new, four-year contract that names KBUF the “exclusive station” for Broncbuster Athletics. The deal  means all football, men’s and women’s basketball games, and baseball games—plus coverage of other sports including volleyball and soccer can be heard on KBUF 1030 AM; on the web at westernkansasnews.com and on your mobile device using the TuneInRadio App (Keyword: KBUF). Football and basketball games will also be video streamed on westernkansasnews.com as well as other select sporting events throughout the year.

“I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the hard work and dedication of Dr. Swender, Vice President Ruda, Mr. Lamb and Mr. Delgado at the college along with WKBC General Manager Christa Roy in getting this deal done,” sports director Mike Pilosof said in a statement. “It’s going to be an exciting season, and we’re just happy to be a part of it.”

The deal means that the only place to hear all Buster road games will be KBUF and westernkansasnews.com.

Award-winning sportscaster Mike Pilosof will provide  the play by play; Ross Miller returns as color analyst.

“I feel we have a responsibility to provide a top-quality broadcast,” Miller said. “This isn’t just local for Garden City, it’s a community deal; it’s a nationwide deal. People can log on from all over the globe and listen to us. We’re really excited.”

In addition to the play-by-play coverage, KBUF is the official home of the Busters Coach’s Show, which airs each Monday from 6:30 p.m.-7 p.m. at Jax Sports Bar and Grill. The first show of the year will be August 19.
