Winnie Darlene Burdett

Winnie Darlene Burdett, 68, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her home. 

She was born January 12, 1948 at Lakin, the daughter of Albert and Opal (Hayhearst) Burdett. She was the eldest sister to Andy Burdett and Louise Huse. 

She worked at the Gun Smoke Truck Stop, Kwik shop and for many years at the Costal Mart. Winnie enjoyed bowling, crocheting and at times riding motor cycles. 

Winnie leaves behind one sister, Louise Huse, Dodge City; 3 neices, Jacki Miller and husband David, Dodge City, Melissa Klebs and husband Don, Dodge City, TK Burdett, Scott City; one nephew, Allen Burdett; 3 great nieces, Michelle Miller, Dodge City, Jami Huse, Dodge city, Melody Burdett, Scott City; 3 great nephews, Jacob Huse, Kinsley, Skyler Huse and wife Ana, Fort Worth, Texas, Micheal Miller, Dodge City, Kansas. 

There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. 

A balloon release will be scheduled at a later date. 

The family suggests memorials to the Winnie Burdett memorial fund in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
