Wind Caused Accident Sunday Night

Oakley, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A semi-truck blew over from high winds and came to rest on the driver’s side Sunday night about 8 on US 83, 26 miles south of I 70 in Logan County.  State troopers report the semi-truck blocked the northbound lanes.  The Highway Patrol identified the man as 36 year old driver Rusty McKinney of Spring, Texas.  McKinney was taken to Logan County Hospital.

No tornadoes, but still a lot of noise made during Sunday night’s storms in Western Kansas.  Adam Kadavy reported during our severe weather coverage from Scott City.

The Scott County Fairgrounds reported inch size hail.  Deerfield had 70 MPH winds.  Minor flooding was also a concern.  Dodge City and Deerfield both had nearly three inches of rainfall.
