Widening of Kansas Ave Continues

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Garden City is continuing the widening of Kansas Avenue as they moved to phase 4 of the project beginning Wednesday July 5.

This phase of the project is tentatively scheduled to last until July 31. The whole project is expected to be finished at the end of August.

During phase 4 the south two lanes of Kansas Avenue at the intersection of Third Street will be closed.  The north lanes will be closed and the south lanes will be open with one lane carrying traffic eastbound and one with traffic westbound.

North Third Street will be closed at Kansas Avenue, but Fourth Street south of Kansas Avenue will be open. Alternative routes will be open at Pershing Ave, Old Manor Rd and Second Street.
