Wheatland Working Hard to Determine Cause of Remaining Outages
(westernkansasnews.com) Wheatland Electric was hard hit by this weekend’s winter storm. Shawn Powelson Manager of Member Services and Corporate Communications with Wheatland on the initial damage estimates.
There is also a problem with restoring power to Leoti, Tribune and Syracuse requiring further investigation.
The Hamilton County Sheriff says they have been checking on residents who need oxygen. If anyone is in need of oxygen and does not have access with the power out, please contact the Sheriff’s Department at (620) 384-5616.
State emergency officials say as many as 42,000 in Western Kansas were without power at some point this weekend.
