Western State Bank invites community to family-friendly western art show

Garden City, Kan.— Western State Bank invites the community to attend their western-
themed art show and reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at their main branch, 1500 E. Kansas Ave. in Garden City.
The family-friendly art event will feature the star of Oklahoma’s “Art of a Cowboy” reality TV show, southwest Kansas native Steve Boaldin, along with western-themed art from several southwest Kansas artists. Other plans for the evening include acoustic music, complimentary refreshments, and a kids’ art station. All art will be available for purchase. Western State Bank will also be selling $10 raffle tickets for a chance to win one of Steve Boaldin’s canvas reproduction paintings worth up to $865.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Garden City Arts. The show will also feature paintings, sculptures, jewelry and pottery from southwest Kansas artists Deb Huber, Terry Anderson, Jeena Walkinshaw, Charlie and Pat Norton, Tonya Lamb, Carson Norton, Linda Adams and Ron Carson.
