Viola Angela “Angie” Mages

Viola Angela “Angie” Mages, 89, died May 3, 2015 at Alterra Sterling House in Dodge City. She was born on July 30, 1925 at Fowler the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Huslig) Hageman. 

She grew up on a farm near Fowler and attended Fowler schools. She married Alvin E. Mages on July 30, 1947 at Fowler. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1988. 

Angie is survived by three daughters, Dianna Blundell and husband Vern of Dodge City, Janice Vogel and husband Wilfred of Wichita, Laurel Horton and husband Jim of Deerfield; four sons, Richard Mages and wife Janie of Hixson, TN, Patrick Mages and wife Vickie of Salina, Lawrence Mages of Clifton, CO, David Mages and wife Bertha of Spearville; three sisters, Eleanor Glenn, Evelyn Demuth, and Marie Dowell; 23 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and six Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Norbert, Victor, and Herman Hageman and two grandchildren, Nick Horton and Beckie Nielsen. 

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Abundant Life Church in Dodge City with Revs. Jim and Lydia Ames presiding. Inurnment will be on Thursday May 7, 2015 at St. John’s Cemetery in Spearville at 10:30 A.M.. Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
