Utah native takes SW Kansas Pro Am (Audio)
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-After a handful of rain delays, there was one man who stayed dry through all of it.
Following a marathon three-day run, Utah-native B.J. Staten held up the championship trophy Sunday afternoon, winning the 36th annual Southwest Kansas Pro-AM with a masterful 13-under par.
“It’s good to win at any level,” Staten said afterwards. “There was a lot of good competition out here this weekend.”
Staten, who won his second tournament on the Adams Tour in 2015, shot rounds of 66, 67 and 68-taking home the grand prize of $17,000.
