USD 457: Free Performance of Hamlet At GCHS on Friday

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Garden City High School drama will present a free performance of Hamlet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7th, in the GCHS auditorium, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd. The performance is in preparation to perform on June 25th at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Garden City High School was chosen as one of eleven schools from around the United States to perform on the main stage at the International Thespian Festival (IFT). The IFT is the nation’s leading high school theatre festival.
The International Thespian Festival, produced by the Educational Theatre Association, celebrates student achievement in the performing arts. The 56th event, which this year takes place June 24-29, brings together more than 4,000 high school drama students and their teachers for a weeklong immersion in workshops; interaction with colleges, industry leaders, and Broadway professionals; and opportunities to be inspired by the best high school theatre in the nation.
