Ulysses volleyball sweeps Scott City

Ulysses, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–In a battle of unbeatens Thursday night, the Ulysses Lady Tigers played host to Scott City in a dual, and it was the Lady Tigers picking up the win, sweeping the Lady Beavers 25-20, 25-14 and 25-20.

The No. 7 ranked team in Class 4A, Division 1 Ulysses pushed their record to 7-0 on the season. For Scott City, Macy Berning and Kiana Yager let the attack with six and five kills respectively, while Clarissa Ratzlaff had three of the eight service aces for the Lady Beavers. Overall, Scott City finished with 21 kills, and had a hitting percentage of .161.

Scott City dropped to 2-1 on the season.

Up next for Ulysses will be a quadrangular in Liberal on Tuesday with Colby, Guymon and Liberal. Scott City will host a quadrangular on Tuesday with Goodland, Lakin and Wichita County at 4 pm.
