Ulysses repeats as GWAC Volleyball Champions

Colby, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–In the brief four years of the Great West Activities Conference, only two teams have won the tournament title. Colby won the first two years, and Ulysses kept it at two teams by going undefeated Saturday at Colby High School. The Lady Tigers did not drop a single set all day, despite being pushed in a couple. Holcomb finished third, Scott City finished in fifth, and Hugoton sixth. For sub-state this saturday, Ulysses travels to Abilene for the Class 4A, Division I Sub-State, Colby, Goodland, Hugoton and Scott City are in Colby for the Class 4A, Division II Sub-State, and Holcomb will head to Cimarron for the Class 3A Sub-State. Pairings won’t be released until Wednesday.
