U.S. 83 bridge repair to begin in Finney County
(KDOT) – Crews are expected to begin a bridge repair project on the U.S. 83 Bus/South Main bridge in Garden City on Wednesday, July 28, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. This project will repair the expansion joint on the north end of the bridge.
The bridge is expected to be closed to traffic through August for repairs. Bridge traffic will detour using U.S. 50 Bus/Fulton Street to the U.S. 50/83/400 bypass to U.S. 83.
Wildcat Construction of Topeka is the contractor on this $153,000 project, which is expected to be completed in August, weather permitting.
