U.S. 56 resurfacing to begin Haskell and Gray counties

KDOT-Logo

Crews are expected to begin a resurfacing project on U.S. 56 in Haskell and Gray counties on Monday, July 26, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.  The project includes U.S. 56 from the east K-190 junction in Haskell County to the west city limits of Montezuma in Gray County.

Work on the 30-mile project will be broken into smaller sections. Traffic will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car during the project. Motorists should expect delays and add extra time to their travel schedule. Venture Corporation is the contractor on this $4.1 million project, and it is expected to be completed in October, weather permitting.
