Two Oklahoma teens killed in Liberal accident

Liberal, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Two Oklahoma teens were killed in a two vehicle accident in Liberal early Sunday.

Austin Olson, 18, of Collinsville, OK and Connor Smith, 19, of Tyrone, OK were both killed in the crash and were passengers in the second vehicle. At 1:16 a.m. on U54 & Blue Bell Rd in Liberal Vehicle one (Dodge Durango) was traveling west bound on Bluebell Road. Vehicle two (BMW) was traveling northeast on US Highway 54. Vehicle one failed to stop at the dead end of Bluebell Road and traveled over a concrete curb, entering onto a divider designed to prevent traffic on Bluebell Road from entering onto US Highway 54. As Vehicle one traveled across the divider, it impacted a large boulder before exiting the divider onto US Highway 54. Once on US Highway 54, the front end of Vehicle one impacted the passenger side of Vehicle two. Post-collision, both vehicles rotated and came to final rest on US Highway 54.

Vehicle one was driven by Rojelio Campa, 18, of Liberal. He was also injured in the crash. The two other passengers in vehicle two were also injured.
