Two Garden City residents killed in Seward County accident
Seward County, KS (westernkansasnews.com)–Two Garden City residents were killed early Tuesday morning in a head-on collision just south of the Seward/Haskell County line. According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Yoh L Li of Garden City, age 42, was southbound on US Highway 83 driving a 2004 Chrystler Town & Country when he went left of center, striking a northbound 2002 Ford ZX2 driven by 42-year old Ma Khin, also of Garden City. The Li vehicle came to rest in the southbound lane of US Highway 83, while the Khin vehicle came to rest on the northbound shoulder. Li was was taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal where he was pronounced dead. Khin was also a fatality in the accident that happened just after one Tuesday morning. Passengers in the Li vehicle were 16-year old Rofada Da of Denver, CO, 35-year old Ah Pee of Pittsburgh, PA and 16-year old A Si M Be were taken to Southwest Medical Center for their injuries. The highway patrol report states that all but Pee and Be were wearing seatbelts.
