Twila M. Head

Twila M. Head, age 75, died Thursday, March 13, 2013 at Lane County Long Term Care in Dighton. She was born July 1, 1938 in Lane County, the daughter of Bert U. & Vera N. (Richards) Nichols. Twila married Clyde Head on July 30, 1955 at Dighton. He died on March 12, 1983.

Twila lived all her life in Dighton, Scott City & Dodge City. She worked as a truck driver with her husband and later had a day care in Scott City and was a cook at the Dighton American Legion and The Majestic in Scott City. Twila was a member of the United Methodist Church of Dighton, Past President of United Methodist Women, and Church Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Therese & Bob Bouck of Olathe, Marletta & Mike Betzold of Liberal, Melinda & Tory Borell of Dighton; son, Gary & Melody Head of Dodge City; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM on Monday, March 17, 2014 at United Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating.

Interment: Dighton Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or Sterling House in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
