Dodge City 6, Great Bend 4-A little adversity doesn’t hurt anyone. Charles Johnson’s team found themselves down early 2-0 but rallied to take down conference-rival Great Bend.
“It was a great challenge for us today,” sophomore Leo Lopez said following the match. “We started off with two mistakes and getting down at home 2-0. We just played for each other and played our hearts out.”

Garden City 2, Hays 0-Nobody in the Western Athletic Conference is hotter than Garden City. The Buffs continued their winning ways Tuesday night with a shutout win over the Indians.
“We played a little conservative,” Garden City Coach Josue Negron said. “In the second half we tried to open it up; we controlled the midfield and we put two in. But Hays is tough at home, regardless of their record.”
David Fuentes got the Buffs on the board just eight minutes into the second half with an unassisted goal. Gilberto Tovar finished off the scoring with a goal in the in the 67th minute.
Garden City (9-3, 6-1) out shot the Indians 18-5.
