Truck Smashes Into Home Friday; One Injured, Suspect Remains On Loose
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City Police Department was dispatched to a reported hit and run accident in the 400 Block of Edwards Street early Friday morning where a pickup drove into a residence. Police say a suspect was travelling Southbound on Eighth St at a high rate of speed and the driver attempted to turn East on Edwards St. losing control of the vehicle striking the residence. The suspect then fled on foot. One resident was struck and sustained a foot injury that required medical treatment. Damage to the home is estimated to be around $75,000.
