Tolan Wins 38th SW KS Pro Am

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Derek Tolan won the 38th SW KS Pro Am Professional  on Sunday by two strokes shooting a -12 for the tournament.

Tolan shot even on Sunday winning the tournament by two strokes. He was able to hold off Ryan Hogue(-10) and Chris Thompson(-9), who made a charge at the lead on Sunday shooting a -4. 

The win for Tolan was his first professional win in five years and paid out $10,000. Ryan Hogue won $6,000 for second place and Chris Thompson got $5,000 for third place.  

“Just kind of pieced everything together. Did a really good job of staying patient and taking my chances when they came rather than forcing things. It felt like a lot of experience was on my side,” said Tolan.

A five man team from American Implement won the amateur tournament. The five man team of Chad Koster, Marcus Amerine, Cory Koehn, Mike Wall and Barry Lucas with some help from pro Chris Thompson were able to win the tournament.
