The Time is Now to Get A Flu Shot
(westernkansasnews.com) The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a warning to all those who still have not received their flu shot. Do not wait any longer. Overall up to 10 percent of all visits this winter to doctors and hospitals has been because of the flu. Incidents of flu are spreading in every section of the state.
On average, five to 20 percent of the U.S. population contracts the flu yearly, and more than 200,000 people are hospitalized with flu complications. Anyone six months or older is recommended to get the flu shot. For more information contact your local health care provider or county board of health.
