Thursday’s Toy Drive For Kids A Huge Success
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Western Kansas Broadcast Center and Salvation Army teamed up for a toy drive Thursday outside the radio studios on East Kansas. Q97 Afternoon D-J Michael Anthony and others were willing to do what they could for a good cause.
Lieutenant Jeff Curran of the Salvation Army was grateful to all who helped.
Close to $1200 and 30 presents were raised. A big thank you to all who participated in making a difference this holiday season.
Still more can be done as the Salvation Army pushes ahead with collecting needed contributions with about a week to go before Christmas.
The Salvation Army also has been hard pressed to find volunteers for collecting contributions.
