Threat to GCHS Not Credible; Classes to Go On As Scheduled

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Despite what you may have heard Garden City Police are telling parents and students there has been no credible threat made against the high school Friday.  Thursday afternoon an investigation was launched after the school district informed police of the potential threat.  After launching an investigation it was determined the threat was an isolated incident between two students.  

USD 457 is working with the police department and other agencies to ensure the safety of students.  Still as a precaution extra patrols have been placed at the high school Friday.  Classes will go on as scheduled.
