Terry G. Fraker, 46 of Garden City died Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Finney County. He was born April 30, 1967 in Parsons. He grew up in Parsons and graduated from high school in Altamont. He attended Labette County Community College and graduated from Neosho County Community College. As a young child, Terry had a passion for horses and rodeo. At the age of 14, Terry started breaking horses to ride. At rodeos, he would compete in bull riding and bronc busting. Terry moved to Garden City in the 1990’s where he was employed by Palmer Tank & Manufacturing as a truck driver. He loved this part of Kansas with its wide open spaces. He was interested in and quite knowledgeable about western history. He enjoyed traveling throughout the country on his motorcycle. On January 21, 2013, Terry married Vonda Sue Hatcher in Garden City. She died Saturday, January 11, 2014. Terry was also preceded in death by one uncle, Monte Fraker; a sister-in-law, Donna Fraker and his grandparents.

Survivors include one son, Tristan Fraker of Gas City; his parents, Dick and Shirley Fraker of Parsons; two brothers, Richard Fraker of Welch, Oklahoma and Bryan Fraker of Parsons; one sister, Dixie Jenkins of Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment: McCume Cemetery in McCume, Kansas. 

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date at McCume Cemetery in McCume, Kansas. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tristin Fraker Education Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
