Teacher of Year Ralph Riding Off to New Adventure
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Wednesday was a good day for Dodge City High School Biology teacher Shannon Ralph as she was presented with the keys to a new Toyota Camry thanks to Lewis Motors. Ralph will need the new wheels for all the traveling she will do as Kansas’ Teacher of the Year.
Studies show more teachers are retiring than entering the profession. One of Ralph’s goals as Teacher of the Year is to avocate for teacher retention.
Ralph begins her mission to explain what gave her the foundation to reach high.
At the center of it all is reaching students. Ralph dismisses the critcisms some people have of this younger generation.
Ralph will begin her travels this week in meeting with administrators and teachers.
