Swender Takes Part in Panel to Discuss Funding Community College
Starkville, MS (westernkansasnews.com) Earlier this week Garden City Community College President Doctor Herbert Swender participated in a roundtable discussion at Mississippi State University on President Obama’s America’s Promise proposal offering two years of community college free. A big discussion followed on what this means for Pell Grants.
The program’s total cost is still uncertain, but Doctor Swender hears anywhere from 6 to 8 billion dollars.
