Survey Says: Retirees Can Save More in Ulysses
Ulysses, KS (westernkansasnews.com) If you are already retired and call Ulysses home, a New York based financial technology company SmartAsset says you made a wise choice. The company’s survey looked at most tax friendly retirement spots in Kansas and Ulysses ranked fourth. SmartAsset’s Vice President A.J. Smith believes the numbers do not lie, where you live in retirement is important.
Factors involved in the survey include income taxes, property taxes and whether a retirees social security benefits are taxed. Iola, Coffeyville and Fort Scott rank above Ulysses in the survey.
