Summit Focuses on Future Drone Use to Benefit Kansas Economy
Wichita, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Some may call them drones, others unmanned aircraft systems or uas, either way KDOT hosted a one day summit Thursday on what the future may hold. KDOT Aviation Director Tiffany Brown feels it is important to get everyone caught up to speed on this new technology.
Exhibitor Jeff Logan of Paragon Geophysical Services is already using uas in Western Kansas.
Brown is confident once they pass the legal hurdle this technology could greatly
benefit the Kansas economy.
Logan thinks acceptance of this aircraft is only a matter of time.
The potential impact of drones on the Kansas economy over the next decade is 3 billion dollars and up to 3,700 jobs.
