Student Diagnosed with Mumps at USD 457
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A letter distributed to parents in USD 457, Garden City schools confirms a student at Horace Good Middle School has been diagnosed with mumps, but has not been at school since March 3rd. Symptoms of mumps include fever, headache, swelling of the cheeks, pain in muscles and a loss of appetite. The letter asks parents if their child has not been immunized to do so by either contacting the school nurse or their healthcare provider.
