Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) To get a true picture of the economic growth in SW Kansas the State Department of Labor looks at trends over an entire year.  Tyler Tenbrink a senior labor economist does not see anything unusual from the most recent survey of 21 counties.

Tenbrink says Stevens County had the biggest growth at 19.7 percent while Meade County took the biggest hit at 8.5 percent loss.  Tenbrink says this part of the state is doing well with adding establishments or more worksites.
