State AG: Man From Pratt Found Guilty of Attacking Officers Last Year
Pratt, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A man from Pratt has been found guilty on a charge of second degree attempted murder and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer when confronting police outside an apartment complex in his hometown early last year.
Officers say Bradley G. Verstraete was brandishing a large hunting knife and ax when he came after officers. Police attempted to subdue Verstraete with a taser, but were unsuccessful. Eventually police shot Verstraete in order to stop the attack. Sentencing is schedule for November 14th.
