St. Catherine’s hosting three events to give back on Wednesday
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) St. Catherine Hospital Associates and volunteers are offering several different opportunities to make a difference in our community on December 20th. A Bake Sale to benefit the Power of Pink, a Tree Auction to benefit the Senior Center and Hometown Kansas Christmas CD to benefit Benincasa. Make your way down to the St. Catherine Hospital cafeteria where the spirit of Christmas has taken over.
To kick off the festivities, beginning at 11 am, you can satisfy your sweet tooth with a bake sale that will run until 3 pm. Purchase pies, cookies, candies and more plus an assortment of raffle baskets will be available to win. All proceeds go toward 3D Mammography. Donations are gladly accepted.
The 13th Annual Tree and Wreath Auction proceeds will go to the Finney County Senior Center. Associates in various departments of St. Catherine Hospital and other health partners donate their time and talents to decorate the trees and wreaths each year for the auction. The bidding has started and will come to an end on Friday, December 20th at precisely 3 p.m. The public is invited to join in the auction fun and enjoy refreshments with associates from 2-3 p.m.
During the auction reception, the Hometown Kansas Christmas CD featuring a lineup of singers from southwest Kansas, will be available for purchase. The money raised during this hour will be matched by benefactors and the donations will be given to Benincasa. The house provides low cost housing and is used over 1,000 nights per year by patients and their families from all over the US and abroad.
