Southwest Kansas Pro Am Charity Golf Tournament Kicks-off Today
Garden City – The 33rd Annual Southwest Kansas Pro Am Charity Golf Tournament gets underway today with the Pioneer Electric Shootout at the Bentwood Golf Course in Ulysses, and will continue throughout the week in Garden City at Buffalo Dunes and the Golf Club at Southhwind. The Southwest Kansas Pro Am raises thousands of dollars each year for the New Born Intensive Care and Pediatric Units of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. Nearly 100 Professionals in conjunction with the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series along with a number of talented amateur’s will grace two of the finest Golf courses in the state. After today’s kick-off event at Ulysses, the ladies will hold their Pro Am day at Southhwind on Tuesday starting at 9:00 AM, followed by two days of professional play and the amateur players will join the Pro’s on Thursday. The third round of play is on Friday and the final round for the Pro’s and amateur’s on Saturday, with the awards presentation scheduled immediately following the final round at the Golf Club at Southhwind. The Southwest Kansas Pro Am Champion is guaranteed a minimum of $12,000 dollars.
