Sheriff: Man Taken to Wichita After Shooting Incident

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Finney County Sheriff’s Investigators are looking into a shooting of a 25 year old man Monday afternoon at 5 in the 200 block of West Lake Avenue north of the Arkansas Riverbed and SE of the Exhibition building. The unidentified man was taken by helicopter to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for his injuries.      

The person believed to have been responsible for the shooting is from Georgia and was visiting a friend over the last few days.  Deputies right now have not uncovered any evidence this shooting was more than an accident, but they are still investigating.
