Sheriff: Bicyclist Involved in Hit and Run

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Finney County sheriff’s department reports a bicyclist was involved in a hit and run accident on US 83 near the Brookover Feedyard Saturday night.  The victim has been identified as a local resident, Mason Smith.  

Witnesses say they spotted Smith in a ditch and then try to find help.  Deputies are reportedly looking for a Chevy Malibu they believed instigated the accident.  Smith was taken by medflight to Via Christi Hospital in Wichita for treatment of his injuries.
