Severe weather possible Monday for SW Kansas

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across portions of west central and southwest Kansas late this afternoon into
early evening. Any storm that develops will be capable of
producing quarter to golf ball size hail and damaging winds in
excess of 60mph.

Gusty south winds and low relative humidity will create critical
fire weather conditions in extreme southwest Kansas behind an
advancing dryline while elevated fire conditions persist ahead of
the dryline. Outdoor burning is discouraged.
