Senator Moran Talks Minimum Wage, Cyber Security

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Now that the Republican primary is in his rearview mirror, US Senator Jerry Moran can focus on the general election in November and what he like to do in another term.  Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have talked about minimum wage increases.  Moran thinks states should take a bigger role in this debate over whether increasing the minimum wage is necessary.

And for younger people there could be some unintended consequences from increasing the minimum wage.

The current federal minimum wage has been $7.25 since 2009.

There are many factors at play to influence this year’s presidential election, but one of the most stunning revelations occurred last week when the Russians hacked into the Democratic National Committee computer system.  While Senator Jerry Moran stopped short of calling this an act of war from Moscow he does believe there needs to be a heighten sense of urgency.

Moran know this was not the latest episode from overseas, but he believes the problem will continue until Washington shows the resolve to stop it.
