Senator Moran’s Townhall in Garden City
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)– The agreement led by the Obama Administration allowing Iran to continue its uranium enrichment program in exchange for an easing of sanction is taking a lot of heat from critics. One of the most vocal, US Senator Jerry Moran made a stop in Garden City Tuesday speaking at a town hall sponsored by the Lions Club.
Moran is on the Senate Banking Committee a panel that has direct oversight of the current sanctions. The Senator says he wants to strengthen sanctions on Iran not soften them.
Senator Moran also talked healthcare. Moran is bracing for more bad news from the effects of Obamacare.
Moran would have preferred an incremental approach into handling healthcare problems, but he knows options to correct this are limited since the President has so much pride in his signature legislation and has indicated he is unwilling to make major changes.
