Secretary of State: Turnout High For This Year’s Election
(westernkansasnews.com) A record turnout is expected Tuesday at the polls for this year’s election. Secretary of State Kris Kobach says 72 percent of registered voters in the state are expected to participate if early voting is any indication.
While the presidential race and judicial retention is getting a lot of attention, Kobach clarifies the ballot measure on hunting and fishing.
There is one thing you have to bring with you to the polls.
Kobach says 12,000 voters who did not provide proof of citizenship will be allowed to vote this time because of a court injunction. Here is why Kobach believes enforcing this requirement has not disenfranchised voters.
Polls remain open in Kansas until 7 Tuesday night.
