School Budget Woes Could Be Warning For Others

Scott City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Now that the dust has settled and USD 466 in Scott County has made the difficult choices needed to fill a 700K hole in their school budget for next year many wonder what led to this point.  Superintendent Bill Wilson believes other districts eventually will face some of the same difficult decisions.

All toll nine teaching or staff positions were cut, summer school was dropped and employees took a two percent pay cut to fill the hole.
