Scott City’s Orr signs with Dodge City CC Volleyball
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–An opportunity to continue to play your favorite sport after high school is a dream for many athletes. For Madison Orr, that dream to play post high school has turned into a reality. After a successful tryout last fall, Orr committed and recently signed to play for the Dodge City Community College Lady Conquistador volleyball program for the next two seasons.
Orr, a three-year starter for the Scott City Lady Beavers, chose Dodge City over looks from Hutchinson Community College and Fort Hays State. In 72 sets in 2015, she had 62 kills on 243 hitting attempts. Orr also had 18 service aces with only five serving errors, and a 97% serving efficiency.
As for the program Orr will be playing for, they are coached by Ashley Nehls, who wrapped up her second season as the head coach. The Lady Conqs were 4-31 in 2015.
Orr plans on majoring in radiology in college.
