Scott City’s Dreiling resigns as Lady Beaver Volleyball Coach
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–For the first time in five years, the Scott Community High School volleyball program will have a new leader. The resignation of Scott City Lady Beaver coach Jordan Dreiling became official Monday night at the Scott County USD 466 Board of Education’s monthly meeting. Dreiling has served as the head coach for the last four years, compiling a record of 79-68.

The 2013 season was the toughest of Dreiling’s four years, as they compiled a 6-27 record, with a sub-state semi-final loss to Goodland. In the previous three years, Scott City went 22-15 in 2012 with a 3A Sub-State Semi-Final loss to Holcomb, 26-12 in 2011, falling to Holcomb in the 3A Sub-State first round, and a 3A Sub-State Semi-Final loss to Southwestern Heights in 2010, that saw the team finish with a 25-14 record.
During her tenure, Dreiling led the Lady Beavers to a second place finish in the Great West Activities Conference in 2010 and 2012, the Oakley Invitational Tournament title in 2010, and the Scott City Invitational title in 2011.
