Scott City Wrestlers Defeat Goodland on Senior Night

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Meeting up for the second straight week in a dual competition, and the third time on the year, the Scott City Beavers were able to repeat last week’s win over Goodland, and defeat the Cowboys 42-33 Thursday night on Senior Night at the Scott Community High School gymnasium. The Cowboys defeated Scott City on December 15 48-30, but the Beavers returned the favor last Saturday 43-33, before they did so in more impressive fashion Thursday night, winning eight of the 12 head-t0-head matchups. The Cowboys won two forfeits. Scott City will prepare for the 3-2-1A Regional Wrestling Tournament in Norton next Friday and Saturday, in a tournament that features six of the top 10 teams in the classification, and Goodland heads to the Abilene Class 4A Regional next Friday and Saturday.
